Los ni\u00f1os con discapacidad que van a la escuela se ven muy afectados por el cierre de las escuelas. <\/strong><\/p>

La pandemia ha dejado a muchos ni\u00f1os y j\u00f3venes en el mundo sin alimentaci\u00f3n escolar, atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica y educaci\u00f3n.<\/p>

Las encuestas muestran que m\u00e1s de la mitad de los hogares donde vive una persona con discapacidad no tienen acceso a la electricidad. Muchas familias que viven con discapacidades viven en la pobreza y no pueden pagar una computadora o una conexi\u00f3n a Internet. Para esos ni\u00f1os, no hay educaci\u00f3n a distancia.<\/p>

Pero incluso aquellos que tienen oportunidades financieras encuentran problemas. Los problemas tecnol\u00f3gicos y la falta de familiaridad digital a menudo lo compensan. Ser responsable de tener los programas de c\u00f3mputo correctos y actualizados, arreglarse con las conexiones a internet y aprender diferentes plataformas digitales se lo pone dif\u00edcil a muchos estudiantes.<\/p>

La falta de apoyo y material escolar disponible golpea fuerte y la educaci\u00f3n a distancia que se ha introducido en algunos casos no funciona para todos. Muchos estudiantes se sienten olvidados porque no se toman en cuenta sus necesidades. Los ni\u00f1os y j\u00f3venes con discapacidad intelectual se han visto muy afectados por la pandemia. Muchos viven en la pobreza extrema y no tienen acceso a electricidad, computadora o conexi\u00f3n a internet.<\/p>

En Nepal, MyRights y la organizaci\u00f3n socia de FUB \u00d6rebro, la Federaci\u00f3n de Padres de Personas con Discapacidad Intelectual (PFPID-Nepal), administra un centro de d\u00eda para ni\u00f1os y j\u00f3venes con discapacidad intelectual. El centro, que realiza actividades educativas y de educaci\u00f3n para ni\u00f1os y j\u00f3venes, ha realizado sus actividades de forma digital durante el cierre por la pandemia.<\/p>

Los ni\u00f1os que tienen padres comprometidos y que adem\u00e1s cuentan con recursos en forma de computadora e internet han tenido la oportunidad de participar en clases en l\u00ednea. La organizaci\u00f3n ha ayudado a algunos padres con apoyo financiero para que los ni\u00f1os puedan participar en la educaci\u00f3n a distancia. Tambi\u00e9n ha sido un proceso de aprendizaje para muchos padres. Han aprendido a utilizar ordenadores e internet junto con los ni\u00f1os y las educadoras del centro.<\/p>

Los educadores dicen que ha sido un desaf\u00edo lograr que los estudiantes vengan a las clases en l\u00ednea, pero que con el tiempo ha mejorado y que las clases son importantes para mantenerse en contacto entre ellos.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Las ni\u00f1as y los ni\u00f1os con discapacidad intelectual tienen cuatro veces m\u00e1s probabilidades de estar expuestos a la violencia y el abuso que los ni\u00f1os sin discapacidad. Adem\u00e1s, tienen casi tres veces m\u00e1s probabilidades de estar expuestas a la violencia sexual. Durante los cierres por la pandemia, los riesgos han aumentado ya que muchos han estado completamente aislados en sus hogares junto con los perpetradores.<\/p>
