Las personas con discapacidad son un grupo especialmente vulnerable durante las crisis y los conflictos<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

M\u00e1s de la mitad de todas las personas con discapacidad viven en pa\u00edses afectados por crisis y conflictos. Las estad\u00edsticas muestran que las personas con discapacidad corren un mayor riesgo de sufrir lesiones o morir cuando est\u00e1n armados; la tasa de mortalidad es hasta cuatro veces mayor que la de las personas sin discapacidad. Las mujeres y los ni\u00f1os con discapacidad son grupos particularmente vulnerables durante las crisis y los conflictos, corren un mayor riesgo de ser abandonados o expuestos a la violencia y el abuso sexual que aquellos sin discapacidad.<\/p>

A pesar de todo esto, las personas con discapacidad a menudo son excluidas en relaci\u00f3n con los esfuerzos humanitarios y los procesos de paz. Varios estudios muestran que tan solo el 6 por ciento de los documentos de pol\u00edtica y los tratados de paz incluso mencionan a las personas con discapacidades.<\/p>

Durante los conflictos armados, surgen muchas situaciones en las que los problemas de accesibilidad se vuelven cruciales. La informaci\u00f3n debe adaptarse y estar disponible. Cuando suena la alarma, a una persona en silla de ruedas le toma tiempo llegar a un lugar seguro y la persona sorda solo entiende cuando ve las reacciones de otras personas de que algo ha sucedido. Las personas ciegas y las personas con discapacidad visual tienen que depender de su entorno. Encontrar a tus familiares en una situaci\u00f3n de crisis es muy dif\u00edcil ya menudo completamente imposible si eres ciego, sordo o no hablas el idioma.<\/p>

Los disturbios materiales y sociales que surgen en relaci\u00f3n con las guerras y los conflictos afectan mucho m\u00e1s a muchas personas con discapacidad cuando, por ejemplo, se destruye la accesibilidad f\u00edsica de una sociedad.
