Desesperada, dej\u00f3 a Regis en un arbusto cerca de su casa, pensando en abandonarlo. Pero la abuela de Regis escuch\u00f3 sus gritos y decidi\u00f3 salvarlo.<\/strong><\/p><p>Regis Irakukunda, de 14 a\u00f1os, vive en Ruanda y tiene una discapacidad intelectual. Nadie sabe si la discapacidad es cong\u00e9nita o si se debe a su parto complicado y prolongado.<\/p><p>Cuando Regis era m\u00e1s joven, sus necesidades de enfermer\u00eda eran muy grandes y la vida cotidiana era un desaf\u00edo para la familia.<br \/>Cuando Regis ten\u00eda seis a\u00f1os, su familia lo llev\u00f3 al centro &quot;Ineza Kabaya&quot;, un centro de d\u00eda para ni\u00f1os con necesidades especiales. Ineza Kabaya son miembros de Collectif Tubakunde, una de las organizaciones asociadas de FUB y MyRight. Despu\u00e9s de una evaluaci\u00f3n, realizada por personal capacitado, el centro estableci\u00f3 un plan de desarrollo individual para la escolarizaci\u00f3n de Regis.<\/p><p>Con la ayuda de ejercicios educativos especiales y el apoyo adecuado de educadores capacitados, Regis ha pasado de la dependencia a la independencia y nuevas habilidades.
