Kalle was a great role model and leader for disability issues, when he revolutionized the whole of Finland and then the outside world in his work for the inclusion of people with disabilities in society. Kalle was the first with a pronounced personal disability to be elected to the Finnish Parliament. He was also chairman of Abilis, a Finnish organization that works with disability issues and international development cooperation. Abilis coordinates with MyRight and contributed to some of our partner organizations in Nepal and Bolivia, among others. Our thoughts go to Kalle's family and friends.
