Many paths to engagement

There are many ways to get involved in international affairs. It can be a full-time job or something you do in your spare time. You can do that through an organization or as an individual on occasional occasions. The international ngagement can be about advocacy work as well and collaborations such as exchange of experience and communication.

in a project

Does your association want to become a member of MyRight?

Nationwide disability rights organisations that operate and have local associations in several places in Sweden can apply for membership or supporting membership of MyRight. All organisations applying for project grants from MyRight must be members. All members must support MyRight's objectives and conduct activities that are compatible with MyRight's vision, mission and core values.

Education and internship

If you want to work to improve the lives of people around the world, programmes in development, aid or human rights could be a good route. A study counsellor can help you find the right one.

The Swedish Association for Development Studies (FUF) organises internships in Sweden for students in global development studies.

The Global Portal brings together facts and tips for those who want to get involved and offers information sessions, courses and a job bank for volunteering, internships and jobs.

Get involved in MyRight

  •  Follow MyRight on social media. Share our posts and spread knowledge to others.
  • Learn more and tell others. Find out more on our website or read our information material. Changing the world requires knowledge and commitment.
  • Subscribe to our newsletter and share it with others. 
  • Ask how others work. If you want to support another organization - ask how they work to protect the rights of people with disabilities. Do they measure whether people with disabilities take part in their efforts?
  • Become a member and be active in a project. MyRight member organisations can apply for funding to run a project together with a partner organisation. Email info@myright.se for more information.
